Is everything that is old new again? I was pondering this as I was playing with my Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Flirtatious the other day. I feel like I spent a significant amount of money chasing down a lip finish that we now so casually call metallic. I would have killed for this metal look back then – but only in a nude-pink-brown. Flashy colors were not my jam back in the day.

But they kind of are now, and I’m having fun with the¬†Colorburst Lacquer Balm. This is your crayon style lip balm/gloss but it’s infused with a bit more pigment than you’re used to seeing in these crayon balms, and lots more shine. And a metallic touch. Very faint, but noticeable. What you’re really going to notice, however, is the amazing shine.

Did I mention the shine? It’s not gooey like other glosses, and you don’t have to spend an hour trying to get it on with a crappy brush. I just use the crayon after outlining my lips in a nude pencil, and go back afterwards with a brush lightly dipped in makeup remover if absolutely necessary. But this is serious color, so you won’t be able to get away with a little smudge outside the lines. Unfortunately.

Grab your Colorburst Lacquer Balm anywhere for about $8.99. There are 10 colorful shades to choose from Рeveryone will find something in the line.
