
Earlier this year I reviewed Prep by YBF, and declared it one of the best skincare items of the year. Now I have another favorite by YBF, one that works especially well for those with irritated, blemish-prone, and oily skin: Balance.

For the most part, I’m pretty good at doing a full makeup removing ritual along with cleansing, toning, moisturizing, serums, creams, and whatever treatments and masks I’m currently using. Not so much that I’m worried about anti-aging or anything like that, but that I know if I leave my makeup on, there is a good chance that I will wake up with a full-blown breakout. And I really hate breakouts – even more than I hate wrinkles. So at the very least, no matter how exhausted I am, I can usually manage to at least cleanse my face.

Last September I came away with a case of H1N1 influenza with resulting pneumonia to remember it by. I actually missed my last two days there because I was so ill in bed. And last February was so crazy that I don’t even remember much about it now. But when you’re running around the fashion elite and making pronouncements about being a beauty blogger, the pressure is on to look your best. If you don’t know the story behind Erno Laszlo, you are definitely missing out. Dr. Laszlo was born in Hungary, and developed a method of cleansing skin by using soap and water instead of cold cream.
