Lojo, your mom and my mom must have hung out on the courts together, because she was always out there! Meanwhile, I was at the pool just baking in the sun, I’m sure. Luckily we have a large percentage of Native American in us, and don’t seem to have many problems with the sun or skin damage as we get older. My mom is in her mid-60s, and still has a beautiful complexion, and I don’t think she has ever worn sunblock! So I know it’s possible. However, I prefer to take no chances and faithfully slather sunblock all over the place before I step out into the sun.

Hi Meredith!

I am glad that I missed the era of extreme tanning. I have tanned a bit throughout the years, but in moderation, and never my face. My Mom spent a lot of the 60′s and 70′s on a tennis court with no sunscreen on her face, so the damage of the sun was always well known to me.
