Diane Kruger at the 2010 Oscars

Updos were all the rage for this year’s Acadamy Awards – the ladies were certainly channeling old-Hollywood glamour. Celeb stylist Danilo with Pantene created Diane Kruger‘s gorgeous style, and he gives us the how to on making this easy.

1.       Cleanse and condition hair with the Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Frizz Control Shampoo and Conditioner.

2.      Mist a leave-in conditioner and the Pantene Spray Gel Volumizing Root Lifter all over damp hair.

3.      Blow dry hair upside down to create a voluminous base for styling.

4.      Section hair into a side part, divide into three sections (sides and back).

5.      Braid side sections of hair back away from the face in an upward direction creating tightness on the sides.

6.      Pull the back section of hair into a high ponytail leaving volume on top.

7.      Split ponytail into two sections and twist in a rope-like formation, incorporating side braids into two back twists.

8.      Continually twist hair while pinning it into place as the twist braid is knotted up around itself.

9.      Mist hair with the Pantene Pro-V Texturize! Ultimate Textures Hairspray to lock style in place.

10.   Finish the look with a pretty pin to dress up the look,

• Dry hair with head tilted forward using an ionic dryer for maximum shine and volume (try the Remington Professional Dryer).
• Part hair to side. Using a one inch barrel curling iron, section hair in pieces that are 1½ inches by 3 inches wide. Curl in one direction for a uniform wave pattern, and let curls cool to set.
• Brush hair out in a downward motion. Keep brush close to scalp, and finger waves will form. Brush waves to one side, and secure in side ponytail.
• Roll hair into smooth bun with the ends poking out, and pin into place. Finish with a touch of hairspray and bit of shine spray. To glam it up like Diane, add a sparkly hair accessory
