Unfortunately, I picked something this week that isn’t available anymore, which is super unfortunate. essence has plenty of other stuff that is just as great, so consider the brand recommended. It’s a European company that carries budget cosmetics with great quality.

This is a great palette for fall – it’s mostly grays with one shocking blue. I used a light gray for highlighting and a dark gray with just a touch of blue glitter for the crease. These aren’t the most pigmented shadows, so they are great for those who aren’t looking for a big shock of color – you can build these up as dark as you would like. Just remember to blend. You know how I feel about blending. But grays and blues, especially darker shades, look amazing with an oxblood lip, or even a dark stained berry.

This isn’t technically a smoky eye, I suppose, because I only used the darker color on the outer corner of my eye in a half moon shape. This left my lid lighter than the outer corners.

I wasn’t quite satisfied with my efforts, and decided I needed to pull that blue out, so I painstakingly did a cat eye flicked liner with Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Liner in Iridescent Navy Blue. It is stunning and gorgeous; it’s lasting power is legendary. In fact, you need some great eye makeup remover to get it off.

Mascara is still Cover Girl’s Bombshell Volume by Lash Blast Mascara. I didn’t love it at first, but I’m kind of starting to now. It has become my daily go-to mascara, and my daughter’s as well. I’m always finding it in her room, usually with the cap off. We are going to have to have a talk about makeup hygiene.
