You know that time when you got a hideous manicure? I know, it’s pretty rare. But I was inspired by something I saw on Pinteret, and wanted to re-create it, but it ended up just looking awful.
It started with the Ultra Pro Nail Lacquer, which is horribly thin. To be fair, I’m not sure when I bought this bottle, and it looks like they have undergone a design change, so it’s entirely possible that they have changed their formula. I’ll have to investigate that. At any rate, I used Lime Light which was really too bright, and I should have known better. Unfortunately, I think I was obsessed at the time with how thin the formula was. It took me three coats to get an opaque color, and I could have done one more.
I wanted a matte finish, so I applied Essie’s Matte About You, which is a formula that isn’t a nightmare.
I’m still running around with this green mani because I’m too lazy to take it off, but it’s really not a flattering look or color. Be careful when you’re messing with greens – they can be tricky.
