Paul Hanlon, stylist for TRESemmé, created the look for Prabal Gurung’s Spring/Summer ’15 collection runway show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
“The hair for Prabal was inspired by strong, athle:c and modern women. The texture in the hair makes it look as though she might have just stepped out of the gym whilst the structure of the ponytail gives it an edge that complements the multilayered sports inspired collection.”
Here is how to get the runway look:
- Apply TRESemmé Extra Firm Control Mousse to the roots, section by section, ensuring full coverage by working upwards from the nape of the neck up to the parting
- Comb through with a wide tooth comb to create separation between the hair and run your fingers to accentuate the texture further. Leave mousse to dry naturally rather than use a hair dryer to give extra hold and layers to the look
- Pull the hair back tightly from the sides of the head and down to create a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Secure tightly with an elastic
- Smooth a small amount of TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Smoothing Crème Serum onto the tail of the ponytail and twist it into a loose knot. Blast with a hair dryer to achieve natural movement in the ends
