Listen, kittens, I’m not very loyal to my products. The truth is, I love them all, and can usually find a use for just about anything. But I’ve been having a love affair with one specific thing since 2010, and I think it’s going to be my valentine this year.
The one beauty product I can’t live without? Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer. I had heard rumors swirling about in the blogosphere for years before I tried it, and I scoffed at my fellow beauty bloggers who spent $70 on a concealer. Were they nuts? Who spends that kind of cash on concealer?
Let me tell you, kittens, I do. It’s that good. From the moment I sat down in the makeup artist’s chair to give the concealer a try, I was hooked. Even though I had a full face of makeup on, he managed to make me look a million times better with just a few simple swipes. Puffy eyes, fine lines, and dark circles all magically disappeared with this creamy formula, and it didn’t cake or settle into pores or lines at all.
Part of the trick that he showed me was what he called the “Hollywood V,” a technique of applying under eye concealer to get the most out of the product. Applying concealer in a “v” shape underneath your eyes is actually a highlighting and contouring technique, and it works magic to brighten up the face. Apply it like so:
But since finding the Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer, I haven’t been happy with any other. The investment is worth it, as you don’t need much product to get the effect you need, and one tube will last for ages and ages, even using it as much as I do.
Don’t want to spend $70? I understand, really I do! But at least take yourself to the counter and give it a try. And Coupons.com has some Valentine’s Day Deals that might ease the pain of that price tag. They are also hosting a very cool giveaway for a $200 e-gift card to Sephora or SpaFinder, as well as a huge sweepstakes for a dream vacation for telling them your true love story. Romantic!
Get on it, though, as it’s only around for a couple of weeks. Wait for the Rafflecopter to load, and good luck!
