Have y’all seen the newest version of Revlon’s scented nail enamels? I swear, if I would have blinked, I’d have missed them. They were tucked away in a corner of my local Rite Aid in a small display that wasn’t getting any attention at all. Normally I don’t like scented polishes, because I’m weird about scents in general, but the Wild Violets color was so super pretty – I can’t resist a good vampy dark polish and I figured the scent couldn’t be too bad, right?

The color is indeed super pretty. And the scent…well, it wasn’t too bad. Very violet-y. And it doesn’t fade away softly, either. This is a stick around for 12 hours kind of scent. Unfortunately, you can’t smell it in the store – you have to wait until it dries to see if you like it. And if you don’t like it, take it back, because the scent is going to linger. And come back around every time you touch up (which is pretty much daily for me).

Speaking of touching up, what do you do to keep chips and peeling from happening? I’m on an eternal quest to find a mani that doesn’t involve shellac or acrylic to last more than two days. Hit me up in the comments or on Twitter, kittens!

Revlon Parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel retails for $5.99. You should be able to find them easily, and if not, be sure to look in nooks and crannies to find the display.
