Oh, to have a mani that lasts more than 48 hours. It’s my dream. I’m not there yet, but I have found a few tricks that give me some extra time, and one of those tricks is my CoverGirl Outlast Nail Polish

I first tried the Outlast formula at New York Fashion Week last year, and promptly fell in love with it. I don’t know what magic the manicurist worked, but it lasted damn near a week with very little chipping. Now, I haven’t managed to recreate that same witchcraft here at home, but I do get an extra day out of it, which is better than nothing. And in marketing speak, that’s 100% longer lasting! Yay!

So, if you need some durability, try this one. It’s an overall nice formula, and you might get an extra day or so. And while some displays in-store are saying you don’t need a top coat, go ahead and use one anyway. One, it makes it nice and glossy, and two, it helps with chipping. If you’re really diligent, reapply the top coat every day, especially on the tips. I hear that’s the best way to keep a mani sharp, although I can’t ever remember to do it.

I’m wearing CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in 315, Timeless Rubies. But it isn’t really red, so don’t let the “rubies” part fool you. This is more like a burnt orange, so make sure to look at the color, versus look at the name. Just FYI.
