holy grail week: the products I can't live without

The holy grail: that one beauty product that is better than all others – one you are personally attached to and wouldn’t dream of purchasing any other brand. I’ve had the opportunity to play with thousands of beauty products (at least) and I don’t have that many. But the few I have, I’m sharing with you this week.

I’ve been a fan of Urban Decay’s Primer Potion ever since it first came out in it’s poorly-designed tube. Mostly I used the original, but did get excited when Sin was released, as that’s my go-to eyeshadow shade. When they released Eden, I didn’t pay any attention to it. I was happy with Sin, and it looked weirdly yellow and matte, when matte shadows hadn’t really begun their comeback. But then I got my hands on the Feminine Palette, which had a small tube of Eden with it. One use, and I was hooked – it did something amazing to my eyelids.

Not only did it keep my shadow in place for well over 10 hours, its strange matte yellow actually brightened up my lids. The yellow just cancelled out the dark circles under my eyes, too – I dabbed just a touch under there to see what would happen, after I saw the miracle brightening that had occurred on my lids.

And Urban Decay has gotten rid of the awful wand and bottle that they used to sell the Eyeshadow Primer Potions in, and have switched to an easy squeeze tube that allows you to get ALL the product.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden, $20 at Sephora.
