I’ve mentioned before that my days of wearing a foundation makeup with no additional benefits are over. In this day and age of BB creams and tinted moisturizers, it just makes sense for me to combine a step or two in my beauty routine. Also, since I’m more interested in anti-aging products now than ever, a serum-based foundation is right up my alley.
Josie Maran’s Argan Matchmaker Serum Foundation is a strange little base that does some pretty amazing things. There are only three shades: fair/light (for light skin with pink undertones), light/medium (for light to medium skin with yellow undertones), and medium/dark (deep tan to darkest skin tones). It goes on white, but will eventually blend out to match your skin tone perfectly. You don’t think it will, but it does.
The argan oil in the formula is good for any skin type – it will moisturize dry patches of skin and work to keep oily patches shine-free. On my oily skin, it felt like a very light tinted moisturizer, and I didn’t have excessive shine at all. A little goes a very long way, and it applied like a dream. If you’re a fan of what argan oil can do for your skin, you might want to sample this one out.
