Makeup Wars: your favorite BB cream

Beauty Balm, more commonly known as BB creams, have completely changed the way I look at my foundations. No longer do I settle for simple foundation – now it’s all about what benefits that foundation can bring me. So, in a way, BB creams have revolutionized how I look at my makeup. I have several BB’s that I use in general rotation, but one stands out, one that I always reach for when I’m putting on my face for a special occasion, so naturally I entered it into Makeup Wars this week.

Makeup Wars: Favorite BB Cream

Too Faced Beauty Balm is my go-to for a BB cream, because not only does it give great coverage, it has light diffusing particles that help reflect light, making your complexion appear much more flawless then it actually is. And I’ll take all the help I can get! It also has broad spectrum SPF 20, anti-aging ingredients, and moisturizes your skin without making it oily. You can also use it as a primer – it’s quite lightweight – should you need even more coverage.

I haven’t tried the Too Faced one as I was guessing it would be too dark. It’s good to hear that you like its performance

I haven’t tried this one yet. I hope it’s not TOO dewy–dewy can translate to oily on me. Thnaks for the review!

I got a sample of this but the SA gave me one about 3 shades too dark. I need to get a new sample next time I’m at Sephora.

I’ve been wanting to try this, but I seem to be in between shades. It’s the most bizarre thing. Maybe once my face pales a bit this winter I can give it a go!
