All good things are supposed to happen when you are sleeping, and we’ve all heard about that elusive “beauty sleep”. Now you can help Mother Nature along a little bit with Glytone’s new Enhance Night Renewal Cream.

The NEW Glytone Enhance Night Renewal Cream helps reduce the signs of aging including age spots, sun damage and wrinkles, while providing skin with the hydration and nourishment it needs.  The exclusive formulation features parent company Pierre Fabre’s patented Rentinaldehyde, one of the most effective and non-irritating forms of Vitamin A.  Retinaldehyde helps stimulate cellular turnover, which increases the collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother complexion.  The night cream also includes Free Glycolic Acid, to ensure bioavailability, which allows for the maximum amount of glycolic acid to be delivered to the skin. This results in a deeper exfoliation and stimulation of the collagen and elastin, while helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.  Apply Glytone Enhance Night Renewal nightly to a cleansed face and get some rest while your skin is at work.

Available anywhere Glytone is sold, and retails for $68.

So this photo (and dozens of others like it) have been floating around the interwebz for a bit, and it’s taken me this long to really take a good look and announce my official position on it.

I love it.

I know, some of you think it looks like a rat’s nest, but to that I say “whatevs.” It’s different, it’s unique, and it’s totally glam. I expect nothing else from my J.Lo.

I probably wouldn’t have gone as severe on the direction of the hair, but the teasing is pure perfection. If I had a few hair extensions I’d give it a whirl myself.

What say you? Do you love it, hate it, or just don’t care?

http://img.skitch.com/20100506-nmm4x8yb7dtewun64ehin254dd.jpgThe bottle may be brand new, but the incredible fragrance within is still the same.

I have so many memories of Opium. My mother wore it when I was younger when it was first released. She was an international flight attendant for TWA, and brought a bottle back home from Paris before anyone knew what it was and wore it faithfully. It has always been my idea of a sophisticated oriental fragrance.

killian fragrancesI have been spending the past few weeks with the new Kilian collection, and I have to say, I’m completely hooked. The L’Oeuvre Noire (The Black Work in French) include 10 fragrances composed around three themes: “Love and it’s prohibitions,” “The artificial paradises,” and “The temptation.” A new take on La Comédie Humaine, Balzac’s consummate masterpiece!
Killian is the heir to a long line of cognac makers, and grandson to the pioneers in luxury, LVMH Group. He trained with some of the most talented noses in perfumery such as Alberto Morillas, Jacques Cavallier, Thierry Wasseur, and Calice Becker. He then went on to work for great perfume houses such as Dior, McQueen, and Armani. Now he is launching his own brand  that focuses on luxury and elegance.
“I conceived L’Oeuvre Noire with a quasi-Faustian ambience in mind. I wanted to cast a spell, like those that darkened Rimbaud’s spirit or conjured the  witches in Macbeth. But it also recalls contemporary R&B lyrics like those of 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg or Pharell Williams, all about temptation in the face of urban violence, like Baudelaire before them, as expressed in his prose poetry.” – Kilian Hennessy

redken real control intense renewal maskEvery now and again something comes along that just rocks my world, and the Redken Real Control Intense Renewal Mask is just one of those things.

Once a week, I give myself a good clarifying shampoo, then slather this product in and let it sit for anywhere between five and fifteen minutes, depending on how badly I’ve treated my hair the past week. Almost instantly, I’m rewarded with the softest, silkiest, most manageable hair I’ve ever had.

It really is that good, I wouldn’t lie to you.

For even better results, sit under a dryer for ten minutes. I guarantee you won’t need to run to the salon for that “deep conditioning treatment” they have.

You can pick this up just about anywhere Redken products are sold. I bought mine at Trade Secret, which reminds me that I should run back in there and give the sales assistant a huge hug for turning me on to this stuff. It will set you back a modest $16.99.
