Dealing with dry, coarse and frizzy hair can be challenging, to say the least. And while I’m an advocate of shampooing less, we all know that sometimes you just need a good scrub. Here are some excellent shampoos that give you a good foundation for working with difficult hair.
loreal smooth intense shampoo conditioner
Smooth Intense Shampoo and Smooth Intense Conditioner does an excellent job of helping to tame the frizzes and smooth down the cuticle shaft, especially at the root. For the price, this is one of the best anti-frizz shampoo/conditioner combos I have tried. Comes in three formulas for thin, medium, and thick hair.
living proof no frizz shampoo conditioner thickening cream styling
The entire Living Proof No Frizz line is amazing, from shampoo to conditioner , to Styling Cream to Thickening Cream. It truly is as revolutionary as it claims. Removes frizz with no heaviness or silicones, lasts for days. The only downside is the price – eight ounces of shampoo will set you back $24.
ojon shine and protect shampoo
I overheard a conversation many years ago, that went something like this: “Ojon is the TRUTH.” I love the truth, so I rushed out and bought the entire Ojon line, which, at the time, wasn’t that big. However, the  Shine & Protect Shampoo and Shine & Protect Conditioner remain my favorites, and you can always find at least one bottle of them in my beauty pantry.
It took me awhile to figure out who made the Advanced Techniques line, as I had gotten some samples when I was on a whirlwind tour of New York City. Did you know it is Avon? You might want to run out and get yourself an Avon Lady, because this super-affordable line is worth every penny. The Avon ADVANCE TECHNIQUES Intense Repair Hydrating Shampoo, Conditioner, and Serum are all excellent condition and under $5 each.
